Natural Cookies For Your Dog

Make your own customized natural cookies for your dog. If you add more wet ingredients, the treats will be soft. If you add less liquid ingredients and leave the treats in the cooling oven, the treats will be chewier. Your dog will love them whatever if the texture unless your dog prefer one or the other texture. Your cookies can be made easily with a few common ingredients. The natural cookies that you make for your pet will be healthy and you can save money by making your own pet treats.

Use One Basic Recipe That You Customize Whenever You Use It

You can use one basic recipe and cook it in whatever way best suits you and your pet. When the additional ingredients are added, it will take longer for the cookies or biscuits to get done.

Follow the basic recipe and then customize it with whatever you have on hand. You can add between ¼ cup and two cups of extra dry ingredients to create nutritious and inexpensive dog treats. You can cut the dough into training treat size or cut and extra-bake them into a chewing treat. The recipe is small enough that you can experiment with additional ingredient combinations.

Baking Powder Or Not

You can leave the baking powder out if you do not want to add that ingredient to your pet’s diet because store bought baking powder mixture can sometimes have aluminum particles and high levels of sodium. You can make your own natural baking powder out of one part potassium bicarbonate and two parts each of arrowroot powder and cream of tartar.

You can customize your dog cookies and biscuits by adding your choice of flavor ingredients. Meat, meat juices, gravy, bone meal, baby food meat, tuna, tuna oil, rendered fat and meat broth can be used for natural nutrition. You can also add leftovers to your pet’s cookies and biscuit recipes. You can also add brown rice; carrots, apple cider vinegar, cottage cheese, milk and vegetable water in your natural dog treat recipes.
