March 5

Portland Food Fight (U.S.)

Presented by Salmon-Safe, Ecotrust Food & Farms Program, Edible Portland and Slow Food Portland, this program will feature a talk on the U.S. farm bill by Daniel Imhoff, author of Food Fight: The Citizen's Guide to a Food and Farm Bill by Daniel Imhoff, author of "Food Fight: The Citizen's Guide to a Food and Farm Bill."

March 8 - 11

Natural Products Expo West 2007 (U.S.)

To be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, this trade show will feature more than 2,700 exhibits on natural and organic foods and other products.

March 9 - 11

Austin Green Living and Home Products Expo (U.S.)

To be held at the Austin Convention Center in Texas, this expo will feature about 150 exhibitors.

March 11 - 14

20th Annual Southeast Recycling Conference & Trade Show (U.S.)

Set at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama, this show will feature more than 50 exhibits and a variety of specialty workshops on recycling.

March 13 - 14

Green California Summit (U.S.)

Aimed at California officials and professionals responsible for green programs, this conference will feature more than 80 exhibitors and various workshops and seminars.

March 14, 28

14days 2007 Annual Conference (U.K.)

Focused on "Action for Sustainable Change," this conference will be held at the Rich Mix Cultural Foundation in London, UK.

March 15 - 25

15th Annual DC Environmental Film Festival (U.S.)

Held at various venues throughout the city, the festival will feature 115 films from from 27 countries, including "Sense of Wonder, A: A Play Based on the Life of Rachel Carson," "An Inconvenient Truth" and "God Grew Tired of Us."

March 16 - 18

Holistic World Expo (Canada)

To be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, this expo will feature exhibits and programs on holistic living, green living technology, healthful foods, alternative healing and more.

March 17

Green Architecture Day (U.K.)

Hosted by the Brighton Permaculture Trust, this annual event will be held at the Hove Town Hall in Hove, UK.

March 23 - 24

FamilyFarmed.org EXPO 2007 (U.S.)

To be held at the Chicago Historical Center, the Expo will feature more than 100 exhibitors, cooking demonstrations, an Organic Kids Activity Center, a farmers market and workshops on subjects such as "Organic Eating on a Dime" and "Hot Topic: Urban Agriculture."

March 25 - 27

National Green Building Conference (U.S.)

Hosted in St. Louis, Missouri, by the National Association of Home Builders, this conference will feature educational sessions, a tour of green building projects in the St. Louis area, exhibits and the presentation of the association's Green Building Awards.

March 31

Earth Hour (Australia)

WWF-Australia and The Sydney Morning Herald are urging everyone in the city of Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour starting at 7:30 p.m. on March 31. Aimed at showing that people can take action against global warming, the campaign also kicks off a 12-month effort to reduce Sydney's greenhouse gas emissions by 5 percent.
