When it comes to making something from nothing, you really can't beat Mother Nature's bounty.
By just pruning a few trees in your back yard, you can take the smallest pieces of twigs and create wonderfully rustic and useful accessories for your home. Why not start with a simple soap dish for the bathroom and a candle holder for your dining room table? Both are made from a few small pieces of twigs and both take no time at all to make, costing almost nothing. All you need is a saw or pruning shears, a few nails and a hammer. Both the soap dish and candle holder would make very attractive hostess gifts. Make just one, a pair, or a dozen for yourself or to give away. The soap dish measures 4 inches by 3 inches while the candle holder consists of twigs ranging in length from 3 inches to 5 inches nailed to a 1 inch base support. Tools for Both Accessories
