Mom doesn't mind sharing her day with Mother Nature. Why not honor them both by giving by giving Mom an environmentally friendly gift?

Mother's Day is right around the corner, and many people just can't figure out what to get Mom for Mother's Day. Rather than running out to buy a bunch of flowers and a box of candy, why not get mom something she'll really appreciate. Get her something green.

Let's face it, flowers eventually die and candy, well, it hangs around forever on the hips. Environmentally friendly gifts have a longer shelf life and are less detrimental to mom's waistline.

For those individuals who draw a blank when it comes to thinking of a gift for mom (let alone an environmentally friendly gift), don't fret; with the click of a mouse and a credit card, mom could have her Mother's Day gift delivered in time to enjoy it on her day.

Below are a few websites that have either recycled, organic and/or environmentally friendly gifts that mom's will appreciate:

Gifts With Humanity.org

Gifts With Humanity offers a wide range of environmentally friendly gifts ranging in price from 2.50 and up. Gifts with Humanity sells products that are not only friendly to the environment, but they serve to help low-income families around the globe.

For instance, why not give mom hand-crafted flowers made from recycled paper. Gifts With Humanity offers floral bouquets made from paper found in the poor sections in Bangkok. The paper is recycled and hand crafted into beautiful bouquets. The process of recycling the paper not only serves to clean the areas in Bangkok, but it employs low income individuals in the process, thus providing them income and providing mom with an attractive earth friendly gift.

Organic Wines.com

After a daily routine of work, soccer practice, cheerleading completions, doctor appointments, cooking, cleaning, and on and on, maybe mom would welcome a nice bottle of organic wine. Picture the smile on moms face as she's given the opportunity to sit down to a home cooked meal accompanied by a glass of high quality organic wine. Once the wine bottle is empty, the children can decorate the wine bottle to serve as a vase for recycled flowers.

Saffron Rouge.com

Most moms welcome the opportunity to take a long relaxing bath using fragrant organic bath products. In addition to bath and shower products, Saffron Rouge.com offers organic hair care, cosmetics and more.

These are just a few environmentally friendly sites and ideas to get the creative juices flowing. Search around the internet to find the one that offers the produts best suited for the mom in your life.

A word of advice:

No matter which environmentaly friendly website is used to order mom's Mother's Day gits, be sure to bookmark the the site for future use. It can be used over and over again for other occasions such as birthdays, weddings, secretary's day, Christmas, Hanukah and so on.
